First Steps Nursery Fees

Please see below weekly costs for Parents using the Government Childcare Funding

At First Steps Nursery we stretch the Government Childcare Funding over 50 weeks, to claim 30 hours funding 3 days need to be attended, if attending only 2 days 15 hours funding will be claimed. Government funding is reflected on your invoice as £0. Parents will be invoiced for the cost of the remaining hours after the funded hours have been deducted, this will vary according to the age of your child. To fully enjoy our enhanced provision and all meals and snacks, the term after your child reaches 3 years old, we ask for a £1 per funded hour voluntary contribution, which is added to your invoice. Fees are to be paid by the 1st day of each month. As the funding is stretched over 50 weeks, a reduced amount of funded hours are delivered each week. The remaining 2 weeks (not funded) are allocated over the Christmas period. During this time on the days we are closed, fees are chrged at 50%. The Nursery is closed on all Bank Holidays.

We accept vouchers from all of the leading voucher companies including the Government Tax Free Scheme.
We ask for a voluntary £1 per funded hour enhanced provision fee, for all funded hours used in our setting for children over 3 years.

Additional Hours

Additional days are by previous arrangement only and are charged for. A hot midday meal, afternoon tea, snacks and drinks are provided. We ask parents of babies and toddlers to provide their own nappies, bottles and milk/formula. All fees are payable monthly in advance. To reserve a place a deposit as above must be paid in advance as a non-refundable retainer until your child leaves the nursery with the correct 4 weeks written notice given.

Children Attending on a Funded Only Basis

Children that attend on a funded only basis will be asked to pay a voluntary enhanced provision fee of £1 per hour, so that their child can enjoy all extra curricular activities and enjoy a hot cooked meal and snacks throught the day
