The Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum is introduced from birth and is used to plan activities throughout all age bands, and our rooms reflect this progression.
Stage 1 (0 to 2 years old)
Stage 1 – Discovery room: We have our Discovery Room for our youngest children, where we have a high ratio of staff to children, enabling us to provide that extra care needed at this age. Each baby will have a daily diary, to update parents/carers on the days events. Staff are always available to talk to and to reassure parents/carers in the early days, we soon get to know our babies as they develop new friendships with both the staff and other babies. When they are settled in, new activities are introduced such as painting, sticking and water play! So the day becomes even more fun.
Stage 1 – Cruisers Room: When our babies have grown and becoming more mobile they are gradually integrated to the Cruisers Room and a more adventurous curriculum, where every day is fun! Children of this age love to explore different activities and they set the pace!
Stage 2 (2 to 3 years old)
Stage 2 – Adventurers Room: Our Adventurers Room is the next stage, where children experience new and exciting physical and social play, they begin to enjoy joining in with songs and rhymes at quieter times as well as making noise and playing with their friends at play times.
Stage 2 – Trekkers Room: When they are ready for new challenges, children will then be ready to move to our Trekkers Room where they will begin to enjoy a wider range of experiences and their play begins to be more structured, to help develop their independence.
Funded spaces for two year old are supported by Solihull Metroplitan Borough Council. Click below to find out if you may be eligible.
Stage 3 (3 to 5 years old)
Stage 3 – Pioneers Room: Our eldest children enjoy independent experiences in our Pioneers Room, where they can begin to make their own choices allowing them to fully participate in all activities. Learning is fun and stretching the children’s minds is the main focus of our day. We are led by the childrens preferences and incorporate these choices into our planning at all times to ensure the children enjoy activities while they are learning. Children are able to easily access the outdoor area where we offer several different activities for them to continue their learning.
